What is the difference between a Notary and an attorney?

A Notary Public is not an attorney and cannot offer legal advice. Our role is strictly limited to witnessing the signature and verifying identity. An attorney can provide legal counsel and draft documents.

Do I need an appointment to see a Notary Public in SLO County?

Accepted Answer

While many walk-in locations exist, as a mobile notary serving Paso Robles, Atascadero, SLO and the rest of the county, an appointment is required so I can travel to your location. However, lucky for you, I accommodate most last-minute, weekend and after-hours notary needs.

An Acknowledgement confirms the signer's identity and that the signature was made willingly. A Jurat requires the signer to take an oath or affirmation (swear) that the contents of the document are true, and the document must be signed in the notary’s presence.

What is a Mobile Notary Public?

A Mobile Notary is a Notary Public who travels to your location (home, office, hospital, etc.) to perform the notarial act. This is highly convenient for busy professionals, those with mobility issues, or for large closing packages in Paso Robles, Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, or anywhere in the county.
